ImmoMakelaarVergelijker respects your privacy and protects your personal data in accordance with the GDPR and Belgian law. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who we share it with, and what your rights are.

3. What data do we collect?

Identification data: first and last name, email address, phone number (optional).

Property information: postal code and municipality, property type, sale status and timing.

Technical data: IP address and browser type in server logs when you make requests to our server (security); browser and device information and navigation behaviour only with your consent to cookies.

We only activate analytics and marketing cookies with your consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie preferences” in the footer.

6. Recipients and processors

Your request is shared with a limited number of BIV/IPI-recognised estate agents (maximum 3) in your region. Those agents act as separate data controllers. If you use our loan simulator and consent to it, we pass your details to up to 3 independent credit brokers registered with the FSMA; those brokers also act as separate data controllers. We rely on the following processors:

7. Transfers outside the EEA

Some processors are located outside the European Economic Area (notably in the United States). Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, supplemented with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards. Our database, hosting and product analytics run on EU servers.

8. Retention periods

• Lead data: up to 2 years after your last interaction
• Billing and accounting data: 7 years (legal obligation)
• Consent log (cookies): 12 months or until withdrawal
• Server logs (IP address, browser type, requested URL) for security: 180 days
• Reading data of a personal proposal (time, reading time per part, device type, reader code, IP code): 12 months
• Call recordings: the audio 30 days; the transcript and the report as long as your file exists. On request we erase everything linked to your number
• After withdrawal of consent or a deletion request: immediate deletion, subject to statutory retention obligations

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures (TLS encryption, access controls, logging) to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration or destruction.
