The notarial deed (or authentic deed) is the final step of the sale. It is usually signed at the notary's office within 4 months of signing the compromis.

The notary's role

The notary carries out all the necessary searches, makes sure the registration duties are paid and has the deed recorded in the registers of the Legal Security office, which makes the sale enforceable against third parties.
